Sapim Race double butted spoke features a 1.8mm center section with 2.0mm diameter at the neck and threaded areas. The Race spoke is the most popular model in the Sapim line due to it's versatility across all most cycling disciplines.

Spoke neck type: J-bend or Straight Pull

Standard lengths: 180mm - 310mm (even lengths)
Custom lengths: 179mm - 309mm (odd lengths) can be cut and thread-rolled for a $0.40 surcharge.

Reliability

These have been my go-to spokes for durable wheel builds with enough compliance for carbon rims. They have the slight edge on weight and price too.
It's likely a placebo, but I feel that the smooth butting of these spokes improves the strength over abrupt butting. Overall, a quality spoke I keep coming back to.
