DT Swiss' most popular double butted spoke was designed for all-purpose use where weight, strength and cost must be balanced. Typical applications range from mountain bikes, to road racing, to tandem and commuter use.

DT-Swiss competition spokes

I had to rebuild a warrantied rim, and decided to go with a trusted name after some research. Mostly landing on comments that DT-Swiss tooling was more consistent.
With the much appreciated calcs from Wheelbuilder, they pointed me to the more accurate spoke length that the rim manufacturer offered.
Truly grateful as the calcs were spot on.
My wheel is perfect (I’m still a noob wheel builder).
