DT Swiss Star Ratchet Upgrade Kits allow you to increase the speed of gearbox engagement for faster power transfer. Most Classic DT Swiss hubs come factory equipped with an 18T ratchet yielding 20 degrees of rotation between engagement points. EXP hubs come factory equipped with 36T ratchets. Ratchet upgrade kits are available with 24T, 36T and 54T for classic hubs, and 54T only for EXP type hubs.

- Kits Available for standard Star Ratchet systems and EXP Ratchet systems. Please verify hub type prior to ordering.
- Kits include 2 Ratchets, 1 or 2 Springs (appropriate to hub type), and special ratchet grease
- 18T Standard ratchet = 20 degrees engagement
- 24T Ratchet Upgrade = 15 degree engagement
- 36T Ratchet Upgrade = 10 degree engagement
- 54T Ratchet Upgrade = 6.67 degree engagement
- 54T EXP Ratchets are only compatible with 2021 and newer EXP type hubs and require a special tool to remove inboard drive ring
- Strength of ratchet is highest with lower tooth count. For E-bikes do not exceed 24T
