The Astral Outback was designed for epic adventure riding or gravel where wider tires are desirable.
Designed as an adventure/gravel rim, it is wide enough for 2.5” tires but perfectly at home with the 42mm+ tires that have become popular among adventure riders. The modern tubeless design makes it a great option for back country reliability.
Drilled for external nipples, this disc specific rim is available in 700c/29" or 650b/27.5", and is designed with an asymmetric spoke bed to balance left/right spoke tensions on disc hubs.
All Astral rims are designed and manufactured by Rolf Prima in Bend Oregon. Astral rims are Tubeless Easy compatible for tire installation that can be set up with a floor pump in most cases.
