Zipp 202 Firecrest Tubeless Clincher Disc Brake rims harness technologies developed in previous versions without the constraints of rim brake caliper compatibility or brake-track requirements. A revised Firecrest rim profile allows tubeless compatibility in a disc-brake specific shape, creating a fast and stable ride in any wind condition. Firecrest Tubeless Disc-brake rims open new possibilities to adventures on or off road.
Disc specific design extends Zipp’s ABLC™ dimples all the way to the outer edge of the rim. The disc-specific rims are optimized for wider tires to meet the performance needs of modern riders in search of low rolling resistance and aero efficiency with high comfort. The new 202 Firecrest Tubeless Disc-brake rims have an internal width of 21mm and are aerodynamically optimized for use with 28mm wide tires.
Tubeless compatible, the wheels feature a rim bed made with internal ridges to lock the tire’s bead in place, ensuring secure performance even when ridden at lower tire pressures.
